The DMX-lator I is available in three versions, depending on the type of dimmer pack used:

• The standard version (P/N 512264) is for James Lighting MUX-64 and older NSI microplex 64 dimmer packs. Limited to 64 channels to work properly with James Lighting dimmer packs, it automatically senses old Lightronics packs and switches to their protocol. Also works with newer NSI, Leprecon and Lightronics micro-plex packs, but only 64 channels. Will not work properly with Sunn or ETA.

• The Sunn/ETA version (P/N 512264S) is for Sunn-plex/Ultra-plex and is limited to 32 channels because these dimmer packs become confused if they see more than 32 channels of data. Will also work with James Lighting MUX-64 and NSI and Leprecon micro-plex packs, and Lightronics LMX packs, but only 32 channels. Improved! Now also senses and works with old Lightronics packs.

• The microplex-128 version (P/N 512264M) is strictly for newer NSI, Leprecon and Lightronics packs that conform to the NSI microplex-128 (LMX-128) standard, and translates a full 128 channels. It will not work with Sunn, ETA or James Lighting dimmer packs.  Improved! Now also senses and works with older Lightronics packs.
